About me.......

Okay aside from the obvious that I'm a new recruiter,

I'll quickly run over what I'm comfortable revealing for now I'll say it now that at the moment I'm not sure how this works, I've seen films like social network (great film) and the impact one persons blog can have and realised that although I'm one person, there is a good chance that someone will read this, and probably a better chance that someone will have an opinion about what this says. Given that I'm talking about my current employment, I don't want to ruin the chances at my days work/ new calling in life, by offering an opinion that can be construed as my companies opinion.

I talk practically all the time when I'm working, personally I see it as a strength; I wear my heart on my sleeve and express that accordingly. I am constantly thinking which means at times I get confused or frustrated with what I'm trying to say, for ease I'll try to separate these thoughts / ramblings by Italics.

Me.....

This probably isn't the best of advertisements for people to read on..... but if you've made it this far thank you.
I have worked in sales for 8 years with four years of that also working bars Incidentally its how I met the better half, at a little pub called the General Elliot, she was on the Karaoke singing Bryan Adams "Everything I do" and it was love at first sight, we've been together now for five years..... I'll talk alot about "the better half" as she is a big part of my life and my inspiration to keep earning and working hard.

I joined a recruitment company that has a twist; we offer flat fee advertising and percentage placement fee services. Meaning we reach a much wider audience and find ourselves having to deal with people from various walks of life. I had a brief encounter, previous to my current employment at a headhunting firm, that taught me everything I needed to know about recruitment..... it was bad and needs to change!
My current employment is lead by some of the most creative thinkers I've ever had the privilege of working with, which both inspires and challenges me on daily basis.

I come from a medium sized family with two sisters and one brother, all younger and at various stages of their life. Ironically me little sister (oldest one) has also been in recruitment for nearly two years, is there something to be said about the nature/ nurture in upbringing that brings you to this line of work?!?  We weren't a part of each others lives for nearly four years, which discounts sibling rivalry, but here we are.

There's not much more I feel I can say here without boring people to death, I hope in time this serves me well as a place to let go of any problems i have, where people can glean something useful for themselves and where i can learn from something from them.

Enjoy and thanks for keeping up with my ramblings thus far.....
